What better way to do a birthday episode than to give you 22 of my top takeaways from my 22 years on this planet— Listing a few of my takeaways below! Hope you enjoy this episode.
.) Life doesn’t always go as planned. It is OKAY for things to stray from the original path.
.) How you choose to react to a situation often matters and impacts your future more than the situation itself.
.) What others think of you is SO insignificant when it comes to the grand scheme of life. Step out of your box and live your life the way YOU want to.
.) If you feel like you have to change who you are to be liked by certain people, they aren’t your people. You won’t always be everyone’s cup of tea.
.) Stop putting so much pressure on yourself, you can’t always do it all. Whatever you CAN do is enough.
.) When you are in your lowest moments, know that one day you will be on the other side reflecting on how you felt, knowing things are better now.
.) Start small habits NOW. They will impact you for your entire life. Creating habits is the true key to success.
.) Depending on other people for happiness, success, opportunities, etc. Is dangerous. Same thing goes for waiting around to get a lucky opportunity. YOU have all you need. Go out and make it happen. Connections and relationships are amazing things but never rely on them to change your life, only you can o that.
.) PEOPLE MATTER. Love people hard. Be vulnerable and open yourself up to them. Remind them that you love them often. Give that stranger a compliment, text your friends when you are thinking about them, make time for the people you love.
.) Everyone is placed in your life for a reason. People may come and go but each one serves its purpose. Bad or good, relationships shape who you are. It is okay to cut negative people out of your life. Nothing good comes from toxic situations. But try not to hold too big of grudges either. If it’s not serving you, walk away.
.) Find a job that fills your soul. My dad and I always say finding the perfect job requires three things, something you’re good at, something you’re passionate about, and something you can earn a living doing. Life isn’t about finding the highest paying job, it is about finding a job that doesn’t feel like work because you love it so much. Life is too short to spend that much time doing something you hate!
