Remember the days of twitter memes making fun of dads and grandpas for sporting their White New Balance shoes? Well times have changed my friends. Chunky tennis shoes are in and I am kinda living for it.

Since I have recently developed a minor appreciation/obsession for this trend, I thought it would be fun to do a blog post over some of my favorite chunky sneakers on the market right now and edgy outfits to pair with them!

Here are some of my top shoe selects at the moment! Although some can get pretty pricey, you don’t have to break the bank to rock this look; some of these shoes cost as little as $60!

Dress + Sneakers Look

Here are a few of my favorite styled dresses to pair with sneakers! Wearing a dress with a pair of tennis shoes like this is one of my favorite ways to wear them! It makes a fancy look feel a little more casual and even ads a more high end/editorial feel to your outfit. When pairing these shoes with dresses you really can”t go wrong! I like to find dresses that are on the mini size. If you are looking at maxi or midi dresses, you may have a harder time pulling off the look.

Pops of Yellow

Yellow is a fun color to add into this trend. It is a playful color that will add some detail to your outfit without overdoing it!

Baddie Outfit

Chunky sneaks are the perfect accesory to taking a normal outfit and giving it that baddie label. Here is example of how I would piece together a look.

Dress down

Take a formal outfit and give it some casual flare with chunky shoes!

Add Red

Red is a statement color and pairing it with chunky shoes will be sure to get you some stares in public. If you aren’t afraid to go bold and spice things up, here are some pieces I’d pair to complete a red outfit!
